11 Months and Looking for a New Mommy
Little Bill is a people magnet. He is very cuddly and smiley. whoever caries Bill, he hugs them and puts his head on their chest. Well, cuddly with everyone but me. As soon as I carry him he is ready to play and move. This little boy does not know how to sit still.
I take Bill and Joe to a play place near our home. They have a little area for kids under 3. In that area, moms tend to sit on the ground around their kids. The kids get to play and the mom's get to socialize. My son does not play. He sits and watches mom talk then he smiles and crawls really fast to a specific target. He was watching her closely and decided she was the one. He looks at her, smiles and climbs on her. At first, I thought it was a one-time thing but it wasn't. Also, I was naive enough to think he is a ladies man, but now I am fully convinced he is in the market for a new mom. I thought about it, I realized he only climbs on mothers. When they carry him he is so cuddly and on his best behavior. I think it's his sales pitch. How else would he seal the deal? Every mother wants a quiet well-behaved child. A few weeks ago we were at another play place. The moms are standing and chatting. I watched Bill pick his target. He smiled and started racing towards her. I said:" Bill, Don't. I know what you are trying to do. Don't." I could not believe his reaction. My 11-month-old looked at me smiled turned and walked away. He totally knew what he was doing.
Bill started walking early. He was 10 months when he walked. He is this tiny little person that makes me smile every time I see him walking around like a grown man. He got 4 teeth total. 2 on the bottom and 2 on the top. His teeth came late and I was told according to Arab culture that was normal. A baby that walks early get his teeth late. I am not really sure if scientifically its a thing or not. His top teeth have a really big gap so when he smiles you automatically find your self-smiling. I think he has a lot going for him that would make his search easy.
What are your kids up to these days? What do they do that makes you look at them and feel your heart is filled with love and joy?
