How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk

I have recently listened to this book on audible and I definitely recommend it! It is nicely and simply written. It has lots of examples and it totally made sense. I am not going to lie and say that I follow it to the T but I am trying. It definitely helped. There are terms I used to use that I avoid right now. There are certain tones that I stay away from. I am re-listening to it right now. It is one of the good ones!

This book was very helpful in improving the communication between me and my husband. It is amazing how many examples were given that I noticed my husband did that bothered me. There are also a lot of things I said and did without understanding their effect on the listener. Me and my husband we each thought we are better than the other at communication. After reading this book we realized we both need a lot of work. We need to better ourselves to help our children be better people.

The video below is a nice summary from the book!

How to Talk so Little Kids Will Listen: A Survival Guide to Life with Children Ages 2-7

In the first book written by Adele Faber, there is a chapter written by Joanna Faber. It was also written really well. So I have high expectations for this book as well. Especially that the book is very specific to the age I am looking for.

"If you want them to behave better, you have to help them feel better" Joanna Faber

" You've Read the Book, You've Studies the Book Now You Want to Hit Them With the Book!" Joanna Faber
